So you make the longest play in Super Bowl history...
then you decide to earn a penalty later in the game by not only punching somebody that's already down on one knee, but then shoving them on their ass as if to emphasize how much of a dick you're being.
A play for which you should've been tossed out of the game.
Yeah, way to go. :eyes:
Incidentally, the Cardinals should smack around the knucklehead who managed to get three holding penalties, one of them in a critical situation. What a maroon.

1. Yup, he should have been ejected from the game.
And the Cardinal with holding issues, you'd hope he wakes up.

2. I congratulate the dude on making such a huge play, but...
there's no reason at all to do something that low on the field.

4. Not to defend his actions, as they were reprehensible, but
he did damn near have his head ripped off a couple plays earlier on a facemask penalty.

But yeah, ejected would have been proper.

6. There seemed to be some bad blood in that game...definitely punches were thrown more than once.

well, yeah.

8. Sad thing is, the guy doing the beating will probably be on a Wheatie Box
by the end of this week.

19. I agree. Inexcusable.
Whatever the other guy said to him, Harrison should have taken it like a grown-up. His reaction cost his team big and could easily have been the game-killer.

How many yards did my Picksburgh Stillers lose to personal fouls? I lost count at 1500!

21. Still fewer than the Cards.
Add holding to the list, and the Cardinals gave up big yardage.

9. If the NFL doesn't fine him - and big time, not just a slap on the wrist - then
U.S. pro football can't be considered a "sport."

10. Please. he was holding his block, the play was still going.
And the guy taking the holding penalties had to take them or else Warner would have been killed.

You don't seem to know much about the game.

13. Thank you for the GIF. That moment made me deeply ashamed to be an American.
The whole world was watching this game, and that one moment ruined it.

23. The open hand shot is why he got the flag, everything else was legal.
His assignment there is to block that one guy and he pancaked him so easily it's like he didn't know what else to do but pound him one to keep him down. It was a penalty but wasn't ejection worthy. Knocking him down after he got up wasn't because he was "being a dick" but because the play was still going on. You have to hold your block and that's what he was doing. You have to play to the whistle.

I hate the Steelers but the outrage level about this is ridiculous enough for me to defend them.

14. It wasn't that bad.
I've arguably done a few things worse in wrestling matches. In no way should he have been tossed out, but he did get hit with a penalty and he deserved it. Being a dick while competing kind of goes with the territory, I'd be more surprised if a guy that good wasn't a dick.

26. Sounds a bit like sour grapes
It was an OPEN HAND. He didn't punch anyone.

He got a penalty. He deserved it.

Outrage much?
