On a more serious note.... hey fellow oldtimers.....
Does this picture bother you? Does it look too much like a certain Massachusetts Democrat from 1968?

Bobby was a big one for poses just like this.

1. Doesn't look like a pose...
...looks like the photographer just shot at a strange angle.

4. Pose was the wrong word.... I meant he likes to dive into crowds
of supporters like this.
I am not sure this is a smart thing to do considering the history we have in this country, and what the BFEE may resort to to win.

3. I don't mind him posing like Bobby...
just so long as he doesn't get himself shot like Bobby.

5. You can see all the serious looking Secret Service men
around him. BTW, Bobby was the Senator from New York, not Mass. We would have loved to have had him though! :-)

6. One of the great tragedies in this country...
is that elected officials have become distanced from the public. IMHO, there needs to be protection, but the idea that the president must be in a bulletproof box is nauseating. The days of Lincoln walking in Richmond or DC are long over, and the Kennedy assassination as well as the attempts on Ford and Reagan have created a miserable situation. Bobby Kennedy and MLK add to the equation and now we have an administration that is so distanced from the citizenry, it almost appears "Regal" in its aloofness.

Sad, very sad.

:(
