If you are making a website, what is copyrighted and what is not?
Edited on Sun Feb-08-09 08:35 PM by Mike 03
I've been thinking about making a website about medical information about cancer--mostly hematological cancer and pancreatic cancer--but naturally I've realised that all of the articles would come from studies, universities, other medical-related websites.

And what if someone here at DU posts a great article or link about some new treatment for cancer, and I post this or link to it?

Is that okay, or is that violating copyrights?

LOL, this seemed like such a good idea at the time, but now that I'm really thinking about it, it's getting a bit complicated and depressing.

1. You can link all you want; nothing wrong with that.
You can even post small excerpts.

2. You'd have to check the copyright terms for each work.
Copyright is a very difficult jungle to navigate.
