as far as rates have sunk, you'd think they could cut a little slack since they are getting them aired for next to nothing....but nooooo, they will just whine to high heaven that the copy change they slid in 2 minutes before deadline didn't get to air.....gawd I really hate this job :(

Like if you put in something wrong they just go ballistic. The job was forced on me, I knew I wasn't good at details like those because numbers have a way of reversing in my mind. Yet, if I had said no I would've been fired. So now I'm doing two jobs. Funny thing is, now I'm threatened anyway. Spread the love and appreciation.

But moving up to traffic director was about a 33% pay increase and I had a kid on the way so I took it. Sigh, I'd take my old job back if I could :(

My pay increase was like $1. I make far, far less than I did in 1992. More than once (a few months back) these two people would talk about my mistakes on the speaker phone. Like 6 grade girls talking cattily about another girl. We're talking adult men and women here. One of the cry babies is gone thank God, and the other seems to finally understand (so far) that the job isn't cake and ice cream but mud and ice.

I've run across some really immature people in this industry. But also some really good ones. The guys I'm working with now at the station level are really great...well, except for one crybaby, but he really doesn't bother me that much.
