To me, 80 degrees is getting too hot.

Yesterday (temp hit 80's) reminded me that this is the time of year when I envy you who live in NY state, Great Lakes area, Canada. Where it isn't hot 8 months out of the year.

:sigh:

13. Same here. I left South Florida in 1989 and moved to North Georgia
in the Atlanta area. At least, there are seasons here. But it is a little too warm right now. It's going to be a high of 81. I'll be turning on my car air-conditioning during the drive home from work and then the air at home. I hate to sweat.

2. 80 is mild.
I'll be pining for 80-degree temps in a few months.

5. To me, 80 is OK if you're just chillin'. If you're doing anything active, it's too hot.

For me, that is. :-) I know there's a lot of variation in how people experience heat or cold.

14. 80 degrees is hot in my opinion. I'm hating the 80-degree
weather we are having now in the North Georgia area. When it gets over 75, I start to sweat.

12. Cold weather has been known to freeze the synapses in one's brain and affect development.

Anything below 70 is too cold for me. Long sleeve shirts are the devil's wardrobe.

Those Scandinavian countries are all cold. Maybe frozen synapses are a good thing.

19. Social democracy or not.....
....I refuse to live in a place where the average daytime temperature ever goes below 55 degrees at any time of the year.

18. No fair. You get dry heat. You sweat, but you dry off.

In my neck of the woods, you sweat and you stay that way until you shower and change clothes.

20. You should come to AZ in August sometime.
That would banish the 'dry heat' idea from your mind for all time. Our monsoon is in full swing at that time. The monsoon is when our thunderstorms hit with a vengeance. Sure humidity of 30%-40% may not sound all that humid but when the temps are hovering around 105 (or more)... trust me, it'll feel sticky, hot and miserable.
August is the only month of the year that I am more than thankful to wave bye-bye to.

23. Come to Seattle. Everybody here starts whining when the temp hits 80.
Despite the fact that I grew up in the heat and humidity of the Ohio River Valley, I have become a heat wimp after living here for over 25 years. Now, give me 65 and sunny and I'm happy.

25. that's crazy, it's just getting comfortable at 80
90 is about right, well in the west.

back east, 83-84 is about perfect.

believe it or not, if you live in Arizona, anything below 80 feels cold after a long summer.

Also, none of that dry heat BS either... once the monsoon kicks in it is 120 almost every day with full-on humidity.
