I was at a karaoke memorial party on Sunday night

and I was there by chance. I stopped in after joining a friend for his social club earlier that evening. He had been dumped by his girlfriend the night before, but that's another story. :(

I walked into the sports bar and to my surprise saw the karaoke setup--karaoke night is Saturday. I saw my friend the DJ and she said that one of her regulars died last week and tonight was a special-edition karaoke night in his honor and memory. Most of the regulars of that karaoke night had taken the tables up front. I didn't know him, so I took a seat at the bar.

He was a fan of Frank Sinatra and the old crooners, so the filler videos were of Frankie, Johnny Cash, and others of that timeframe. Most of the songs sung were classic rock and classic country. I think that a karaoke memorial is a fantasic idea! :headbang:
