You know Pete Seeger is going to be 90 this year?
May 3rd.

Stars Come Out To Celebrate Seeger's 90th

Bruce Springsteen, Eddie Vedder and John Mellencamp will help ring in folk icon Pete Seeger's 90th birthday in May as part of an all-star tribute concert.

Springsteen, who performed with Seeger on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in the days leading up to U.S. President Barack Obama's inauguration in January, will headline the birthday party gig on 3 May at Madison Square Garden in New York.

The concert will double as an environmental awareness show and help to raise funds for the Hudson River Sloop Clearwater, an organisation founded by Seeger to preserve and protect the Hudson River.

Also set to appear onstage are Billy Bragg, Emmylou Harris, Dave Matthews, Steve Earle, Joan Baez, Kris Kristofferson and Rage Against The Machine rocker/activist Tom Morello.

4. I'd like him to outlast me.
Which means he's going to have to live an awfully long time, because the alternative would suck.

I love me some Pete Seeger.

7. OK, I confess...I clicked the thread to see if anyone said:
"...no, but if you hum a few bars I'll fake it."

Seriously, the answer is yes, I did know that. A very recent issue of Rolling Stone featured a photo of Pete with Joan Baez at the inauguration. He looked like he was really enjoying himself, and it was a nice photo to see of Pete.
