Who the fuck lives in Cleveland
Edited on Fri Mar-20-09 10:22 AM by insanity
I was watching the Trail Blazer game last night and saw people actually living in Cleveland, which puzzles me as the only thing I associate with Cleveland is a deviant sexual act.

Besides watching basketball and visiting the rock and roll hall of fame, what the hell is there to do that would warrant living in Cleveland?

Edited for spelling

1. I take it you've never been to Cleveland
Or you wouldn't make such an uninformed and insulting remark.

6. No, I've never been, but knowing me I think I would still make an insulting remark

I asked the question to broaden my horizons, so if I ever was in Cleveland I could find something to do other than contemplate suicide.

18. Why begin with an insult?
You could say "I was watching the Trailblazers game last night and I suddenly realized I don't know much about Cleveland. Who can fill me in?" instead of what you did say.

You might have found it funny but we in the Great Lakes states (and, no, I don't live in Cleveland or anywhere near it) are getting more than a little tired of the snark and insults conferred upon us in our time of trouble.

2. umm....its Cleveland.....and about half my family lives there...
Its actually a nice liberal city in the middle of a formerly red state...Its got some nice schools there and if you like fishing, its a great place to live..Plus one of the world's greatest amusement park, Cedar Point not too far from there. Cleveland's not a bad place at all, in the last 15 years its actually become quite nice..

Cuyahoga Valley National Park isn't far away. Supposed to be really nice..I bet they would have great trails there.

3. There is a lot of industry in Ceveland
that provides a lot of good jobs when things are going okay. The GM metal stamping plant in the Cleveland south suburb of Parma paid my bills and kept me fat for 3 years.

12. Since you still can't spell it right
my assumption of as is confirmed.

The city of Cleveland is actually a very nice place. When I lived in Columbus, I enjoyed many a great visit there.

13. Cleveland is like a lot of Rust Belt venues: a great place to live,
but you wouldn't want to visit!

16. Hah -- That's funny.
I lived in a 'burb of Cleveland when I was a kid. Those were the "Uh-oh, Lake Erie's on fire" days.

17. Not true.
Downtown Cleveland has undergone quite a renaissance in the past few years, with Jacobs field, the new football stadium and the Terminal Tower which is said to be a beautiful mall.

19. I liked Cleveland when I was there.
The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame was a good time. Fat Fish Blues had decent cajun cuisine and good atmosphere. I enjoyed being downtown there.
