Warning to Battlestar Galactica fans regarding tonight's finale
If you set it for your VCR or DVR, please be advised that it runs two hours and eleven minutes, not the two hours flat that your TV Guide or DVR says. Set the show for 2:15 just to be safe.

I got the above information is from today's Style section of the Washington Post. I don't watch the show myself, but I know a fair number of you do.

2. I checked the time on the TiVo
It's set to record for 2 hours and 11 minutes, but you're right--padding the time would be smart, just in case. Thanks! :hi:

4. I just called home and asked my better half to look up what we have.
She said the DVR (we don't have TiVo) would have recorded it for two hours flat, so I thought the warning was worth posting.

You're all welcome, of course. :)

3. I'll check my DVR
but I have noticed that it seems to have padding built in :D

5. Mine doesn't.
It screws up all the time, it blows off first-run shows, it records reruns as first-run, and so on. I've missed half of this season of The Mentalist becuse of my DVR. The only thing it does right is record EXACTLY what the DVR info says, and tonight it says two hours flat. If I watched this show, I'd be adjusting accordingly, because my DVR doesn't seem to work nearly as well as yours.

Mine has CSI and Eleventh Hour set to record TONIGHT, because neither ran last night. Neither show will be aired tonight, either.

My DVR is a mess.

6. I'm sorry yours does that. How old is it?
Mine's only a few months old and the first one I've ever had. I haven't read much of the manual, only those parts I really need to know. It's for Dish-HD but I don't know what brand it is.

8. About three years old, and I can't replace it because
of the recordings on it. My girlfriend won't risk losing them (which would happen if we got a new DVR), and the "record to tape" function doesn't work right, either.

7. They're playing this seasons episodes all day on Space.
Pumping up the interest in the finale. I can't hardly wait.

9. Space?
Never heard of it. By your profile I assume it's a Canadian channel. I don't know every channel we get, but I'd bet my January 21st issues of the Washington Post that we don't get Space. :(

I believe our Sci-Fi channel is running a marathon, too, but I gave up on the show after the end of the second season. I watched two episodes last year and didn't regain my interest, and haven't watched one this year.

11. Yes,it's a Canadian scifi channel.
It's one of the best series I've ever watched, mainstream or genre.
