3. Hang in there.
I'm coming up on five months myself. I'm not even really looking any more. Just focusing on growing a cost-effective garden and keeping my fingers crossed I can make it through the year.

My main consolation is that it sucks across the board. I can't take the rejection too personally when every day the headlines are tens of thousands more people losing their jobs.

It has to turn around eventually and in the meantime you are definitely not alone. :toast:

4. Good luck fella!
I've been unemployed (I dont count the part time job I'm at now where I earn like a 4th of what I made before as employment) for over a year. Seems like IT positions are few and far between, especially entry level positions which is what I'm going for. Good luck to you buddy, hopefully we'll both find something sometime soon

5. BTDT, NOT fun!
But hang in there and try to stay positive, no matter what. We're in our 3rd layoff and it's no picnic but we have to keep the faith.

12. It's a little soon for that
But that interview seemed to go very well. They say they will have a second round of interviews and then make a decision this month.

10. Is relocation an option?

I feel your pain. I despise looking for work. BTDT. In 1975 and 1982, both sucky times to be looking. As it is now.

14. Relocation would be hard
I have a wife with a pretty good job (not as good as the one I lost, but pretty good) and a son in first grade.

Relocation would mean that I would relocate and they would follow me when they could. That easily could take a year. That would suck.

11. Sorry to hear it.
I hope something comes up soon. I was unemployed for over a year after shelling out way too much for grad school to get a 'better' job! Hang in there.
