Today is our anniversary. No. 13
But we've been together most of the last 30 years. We always said we'd be fools to get married. And the cover of the invitations had Donna's statement printed on them.

3. I had been meaning to reply to you in that other April Fool thread.
Happy Anniversary!

I love your wedding picture, and I have got tell you that if Kev and I ever renew our vows I seriously want to borrow your idea of a Jerry Garcia/Deadhead sort of event.

I think that part of the reason so many of our friends thought our wedding was maybe a prank was because it was borderline of being traditional. We still heard from Euripides during the ceremony, Eros was hidden in all our flower arrangements, and there was information on the back of the programs about the Roman Festival of Venus and that it was the origin of April Fool's Day pranks--but our friends would have been a LOT more at home with us getting married in tie dyes.

Enjoy your day today, but make sure you celebrate each other EVERY day--I think that has been the key to our survival as a married couple for fourteen years (and like you we were together quite a while before we decided to marry.)
