I don't get it. I mean, fancy wheels make a VAGUE kind of sense to me, if you're all about wasting your money on stuff to trick-out a car or truck.

But spinners? WTF? I mean, I've seen them on SUVs and trucks, and on the obligatory Hondas. But I've also seen them on POS cars, or ridiculously inappropriate machines like Saturns.

What's up with this? Who gets them and why? Frequently, it appears to me like the buyers of such things don't have a pot to piss in.

1. It is just some people's thing.

I like to buy clothes and shoes. Others like to buy stuff for their cars.

2. It's a status symbol of the lower class.
They can't buy inground pools or trophy wives like the upper classes, or over-priced shit from Williams Sonoma or a timeshare in Acapulco like the middle classes, so they have to settle for spinning rims.

3. They're expensive, over $300 bucks per wheel, according to my 22y/o.
Plus the tires are no good above 20k miles tops.
