The interferon is FINALLY really working..my platelets dropped from 1200 to 544 (100-400 is "normal"). So thats good. Unfortunately I've been feeling abit like ThomCat lately...sleeping an awful lot. The fatigue is bad bad bad. The doctor said of course that's the interferon. Sigh. I don't know how I can have much of a social life like this....Thats whats frustrating. On the plus side I know my script will run out with the insurance company next month and now I'll have real proof that the interferon is working so hopefully the battle won't be too horrid..:eyes: All and all I guess today was a positive for me for once..:)
Feeling really tired is better than a pulmonary emboli or stroke. So it is good news, and I hope the insurance company doesn't give you trouble. Have you asked your MD about something to combat the fatigue? Sometimes it is warranted.
He's the expert on this drug....My local hematologist was actually quite surprised that I achieved these results without the hydrea (chemo drug) that I was on previously....
