Ten Percent of World is Addicted to Porn

At least 10% of the world's population is addicted to pornography, according to Robert Peters, the president of Morality in Media said this week. Peters spoke at the International Life and Family Congress in Baja California, Mexico this week and warned his audience that pornography is the cause of many failed marriages because it causes one partner to lose interest in the other. We confess to being a little dismayed by Peters's numbers. After all, they bring up an urgent question: what have the other 90% percent been doing all this time?

Is that it, or is it more often, "one partner loses interest in the other, who then turns to porn to fill the void"? I'm probably of an average... ahem... libido, and can honestly say that as long as I'm getting something on a semi regular basis, my interest in porn is cursory at best. Put me into a long dry spell, however, and there may be some "discrete charges" appearing on my credit card statement....
