8 year olds just don't disappear like that. Missing for six or seven days?

I think that child is already dead. And went through gawd knows what.

I'd like to be wrong. Please prove me wrong. I'll let you shove it down my throat.

1. What's strange about this is no Ambert Alert was issued for like two days.
You just know some creep snatched her. The family had their tires slashed too. Someone was waiting for the right moment when no one was looking Poor child. Revenge maybe?

4. I don't know about Amber Alert, or the alleged revenge with tires being slashed.
Sorry, but that just convinces me even more that the child is already deceased.

Tires slashed? Sorry, that just makes me feel like the murderer would do that.

Please, prove me wrong.

I will happily choke on my own words.

10. 'Summary of Department of Justice Recommended Criteria' for Amber Alerts:
• There is reasonable belief by law enforcement that an abduction has occurred.

• The law enforcement agency believes that the child is in imminent danger of serious bodily injury or death.

• There is enough descriptive information about the victim and the abduction for law enforcement to issue an AMBER Alert to assist in the recovery of the child.

• The abduction is of a child aged 17 years or younger.

• The child’s name and other critical data elements, including the Child Abduction flag, have been entered into the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) system.

An Amber Alert can't be issued on the basis of "You just know some creep snatched her." Police and other authorities have been reminding us of this on Bay Area news broadcasts for a few days.

12. Well then, it's time to update the rules list.
Which reminds me: Whatever happened to that little missing girl who's dad married the teen-age baby sitter?

2. She was described as being very trusting and always looking for attention
I didn't get the impression that her family neglected her or anything but it sounded like she habitually wandered the neighborhood and interacted with anyone.

I think you're probably right. Very, very sad. :(

The police seem to be focusing on one or two neighbors.

9. There was a young girl the next town over from us years ago
Back in the 1980s a girl from Exeter, NH vanished on her way to school. They never found her body and nobody was ever convicted of the crime. the authorities have a pretty good idea who did it, though. A known violent pedophile was working at a garage in the neighborhood, and some circustantial evidence points in his direction. That scumball is now in a place with a notable lack of decent air conditioning.

11. That poor girl. That poor family.
I'm not strong enough to watch the coverage of this. She's the same age as my baby girl and it's just too much.

15. It's not pretty to have your own child die, under any circumstance.
Don't watch it. That's okay.
