Poll question: Just out of curiosity, how many people here failed Art in kindergarten
I never learned to color properly, but eventually I did learn how to tie my shoes!

4. I don't think we were graded in kindergarten art.
I flunked the hell out of fourth-grade art, though. Apparently taking license to be creative was perceived as "sloppy."

but I might have flunked ...I couldn't seem to fit a whole image on the paper. If I started a house when I went to put the roof on there wouldn't be room on the page. Or I couldn't fit in a whole sun and still have it above the house. Eventually they stopped giving me new sheets of paper for do-overs while I worked out my problem with proportions. Churlish bastards; it was only the beginning of my loss of respect.

12. I don't even think we were graded, but art was one of the only classes I excelled at in any grade.
All that other learnin' stuff was too hard. :silly:
