Got laid off today. Not real happy about losing a job, but to be honest, I'm not terribly unhappy about losing THAT job.

Other than applying for unemployment and job hunting, WTF do I do now?

i lost my job about 13 months ago and, like you, i wasn't happy about being out of work but i wasn't terribly unhappy about never having to go there again.

4. Try to balance your life out

Spend a certain amount of time job-hunting, then figure out what might be fun to do depending on your interests. See some old friends, read, rent videos, become totally addicted to DU :D if you aren't already.

And throw in something constructive. Volunteer work, exercise, meditation?

My last day is April 30th. I was relieved when I was told, I really hated the job.
