I have a large package

that was delivered here today for one of my roommates. It seems like he ordered something from some specialty foods place ( I think it said Silverstone something or other ). I put it inside his bedroom door....and I'm really hungry.

I can't peek, can I? :-(

I've often been accused of having an eastern, Philly accent. I've never been there. Must have picked it up from dad.

BTW, how do you eat pizza? Do you fold it in half like a sandwich? I had a discussion with a co-worker about this once.

Also, do you shovel snow, or scoop snow?

10. I shovel snow....I do, on occasion fold my pizza when eating it but it

depends on how greasy the pizza is in order to do that successfully....if it is a good pizza, I don't bother to fold it ( I know New Yorkers do this...I got no problem with it ) The pizza I usually get I can just eat from the tip on to the crust. Problem is, there is really no good pizza in my neighborhood here.

I have always been accused of having a Philly accent...when I worked at a Sports Authority down in Florida when I lived there. I may have posted this before, but I was just checking out customers at the line and this guy comes up to the register...I give him his total and he asks "Are you from Philly"? I said yes...and I asked why he asked that. He said something like "Damn...you can hear it"

I've also gotten, from certain people on the phone where I work that I sound like a phone-sex operator....funny, that. The call I got that day basically said that I had this voice that could put people to sleep ( hopefully not during sex ). I share this voice with my Mom, who was a switchboard operator for Frankford Torresdale ( Far Northeast ) for about 22 years. Every time my Moms voice came over the intercom, the big joke was that the doctor who was supposed to get the page would fall asleep before the message ended....my Mom had a very relaxing sounding voice and apparently, so do I.

11. I "scoop" snow here. (When I could.) That's why my east coast friend and I had a laugh about it.

Regional differences are curious and fun.

I did just find out that it is a selection of fine cheeses he is planning on serving for the next poker night, apparently...good thing I found that out. I am a cheese FIEND so I can't touch this.
