Anyone else remeber the DU era of "The Nuclear Ignore"?

Man, those were some crazy times. Didn't all that start because of "The Douche-Bag Thread"?

1. Nuclear Ignore was great fun. Possibly more fun than negative recs and thread ranking!

I think the "sticky" that introduced it had over 500 posts and about 1/3 of them were deleted posts.

2. It was a short but lively era

I found myself on ignore lists of people I had no recollection of ever having interacted with, leading me to believe that there are people on DU who simply ignore everyone. I imagine their discussions are quite one-sided. :rofl:

I got banned from threads and thinking "How the hell could anyone get offended by that!?"

I think a lot of those people only hang out in the group and specialty forums.

After a couple hundred, (really?), it begins to say a lot more about the user of so many Ignores.

Why even come here if it is so intolerable like that? Like, anyone that disagrees goes on Ignore? That's just insane!

It didn't happen because of the Douchbag Thread. It was introduced right about teh same time, though.
