1. Yeah, I bought a tiny little 1 gig just so I'd have something to listen to music with while
I exercised.

... now its not enough. :P

3. My iPod introduced me to so much music
and I am so thankful for it. I thought my taste was fairly limited, but it gradually expanded and now there is so much stuff on my iTunes and not enough space.

Now I need a bigger one.

8. What I love about my iPod is that it gives me instant access to my music
I've listed to music that I haven't listened to in years because of my iPod, CDs that were buried in a box got a re-listen, or two, or ten when they could all fit in my pocket.

Of course, I also discovered that I had really bad taste in music during the mid 90's, I went through a country phase and while much of it is good, there's a lot of crap in there too.

7. back in '98, I got one of the first Diamond Rio MP3 players
It was only 16mb, expandable with SmartMedia cards, but only enough to hold about 12 songs. It was okay, at least enough to go for a jog.

Then, in 2005, I got a first generation Nano. It held 2gb, enough to make it worth it to take everywhere.

A couple years ago, I upgraded to an 80gb iPod. I've put about 80% of my music collection on it now, and I can't imagine going anywhere without it.

MP3 players are the crack cocaine of electronic devices.
