HELP!!!! Bitter bitter bitter pill. Make it stop. I want my mommy.
I just took my meds. I decided to throw them both in at the same time, like normal, but then realized I didn't have enough Dr Pepper to chase them fast enough.

Naturally, that is when my Zoloft, which I break in half (it's a deal I worked out with my doctor to save on prescription costs) got stuck in the back of my throat.

Ewwwwww! It's so bitter. I can't get the taste out. I have eaten 3 peppermints now to try to get the taste out. Now, it's minty AND bitter.

I'm gagging here. I'm not going to cook my (very very rare treat) steak this early on a Sunday morning. I rarely ever get to have rib eye steaks. I certainly don't want the taste diminished by bitter pill aftertaste, especially since I plan on making them with caramelized onions for the first time ever. I've always wanted to try that.

Back to my dilemma:

What can I do to get the taste of this bitter bitter tasting pill to go away?

1. I would try strong, unsweetened green tea

That always seems to lower my threshhold for bitter.

edit: I meant "raise my threshold". :dunce:

2. My dear Jamastiene...
Aw, sweetie...

I'm so sorry...

I guess I'd try a piece of bread...

And of course, the surest remedy: time.

I hope it passes quickly!

3. Peg's suggestion of bread is good.
I would say some sparkling water too, like Perrier or just plain soda water.

6. I take 8 pills each morning..some of them are HUGE!!!
But I gather them all up, have them in my fist, take a big gulp of water, and throw them down all at once.

It comes from years of having to pop pills everyday.

I take zoloft too!Wish I had zoloft when I was in school :-(
