37. Nah, they'd still find a way to blow it.
They'd forget to book the stadium for the first three games, then the sprinklers would go off during game four, and games five through seven would be called when gunfights erupted amongst the yuppies who just got their concealed carry permits, so both teams would have to forfeit.

42. the Rays and Sox disappoint and the AL Central is the premier divsion in baseball
The Sox badly need a hitter, and by the time they get one, they may end up out of the race already.

The Yankees wil win the division, but aren't about to actually amount to anything.

The Rays will be in the WC race, but I think the Twins or A's will end up winning that.

Anyhow, Dodgers v. the AL wild card team is gonna happen.

47. Some 2,430 games will be played
Each will have a winner and a loser, and each will render some people happy and others unhappy.

Some players will perform beyond expectations. Others will perform below expectations. The majority will perform close to expectations.

Beyond that, there are far too many variables and possibilities in baseball to predict outcomes on Opening Day. And that's part of its charm.

They're 1 for 1. x(

Fans will revolt and hang DeWitt and Mozeliak by their toes from the arch.

74. The Royals Win!

The Royals Win!

No, no, no ... not really. Just a left over from April 1.

Of course, they are tied for first in their division with a 0 - 0 record because the three teams that played LOST today ... badly.

78. Here's some of mine.
*Someone will flirt with .400 BA for most of the season. (but fail to hit .400 for the year.)
*The Yankees will finish in 3rd in the AL East.
*An NL team will win the WS.
*That NL team will not be the Phillies, Mets, Cubs or Braves. (I'm wagering on the Dodgers truth-be-told.)
*Only 1 AL East team makes the playoffs. It won't be the Rays.
*A's OF Matt Holliday and Twins C Joe Mauer will be traded before the trading deadline after their teams are eliminated from contention.
*The Pirates will finish no worse than 4th in the NL Central.
*Jacoby Ellsbury steals 70 bases.
*Alex Rodriguez returns by the end of April...but still finishes the season with under 30HRs.

WS: Dodgers over Red Sox in 7. (I love my Red Sox but I think they lose after a hard run.)
