I rented Quarantine. Thought it was a near perfect horror movie.

Great performances.

Expert pacing- rapid, perfect pacing from establishing characters, to establishing plot, to things are really fucked up, to now totally, utterly fucked, to final horror revelation.

Managed to dodge many cliches.

Graphic and bloody- yet managed to avoid tastelessness.

Very clever editing- had the same "discovered footage" theme as "Blair Witch Project" and "Cloverfield" yet managed to make it work. The plot and judicious use of special effects keep the camera from being too shaky.

Good exposition, managed to suspend disbelief.

Cinematography was great. Lighting, sound effects, production design- all outstanding.

I couldn't think of any changes that would have made this a better movie.

I highly recommend it.

The camera operator is taking the role of the audience, and in the rare circumstances he has lines and appearances, he's doing so on behalf of the audience.

That's one movie that will give me nightmares. And I love horror flicks.
