3. Birdsong... Grateful Dead

One of my favorite stories is a Birdsong story. I went to a friends house party for a playoff football game (Roger Craig fumbled the ball...) and during the halftime I snuck on some Dead. Birdsong from the live album, Without A Net. It is really splendid and the jam part of the song is just incredibly powerful.

When the song came on, her bird,a cockateil, just started singing and going crazy. It was almost singing along to the song. After it was over the wife of the guy commented "I don't know what got into the bird during that song". I tod her "the name of the song is "Birdsong"...... After that she became a deadhead too.

"You get shone the light, in the strangest of places if you look at it right".....
