How are you today? Nothing much to tell from my side. Busy at work (really, I am). Tomorrow evening I will go out with some friends. And Friday afternoon I meet with another friend. The rest of the weekend I will do some stuff at home (I still have to finish unpacking those last two boxes) and relax. I hope the weather will be nice enough for me to sit on my balcony. Today it is overcast. No sun :cry:

5. This is the time of year when our weather is really whacky.

And this year, it's been even whackier! Last week, we had snow!! Snow!!

I've been back in Washington for nearly 30 years, and I cannot recall any other year where we had snow in Seattle in late March, early April.

spring is more than welcome here and all over the world. There might be some more floods this year when all the snow will be melting.

One one hand I hope that these two days go by fast, and on the other hand not. I've got so much to do at work that have deadlines it's overwhelming.

that when the Jews were finally allowed to leave Egypt (after the plagues), then they were in such a rush to get out that they didn't have time to let the dough rise, so instead they baked it immediately, creating basically crackers, called matzoh. In order to remember, Jews don't eat anything with leavening for the week. There are a lot of (really yummy) special foods for Passover, so it's not too much of a hardship. It's a holiday with a lot of ritual and good eating - probably my favorite (or one of my favorite) holidays.

I know some things about the more recent history of the Jews (aka Third Reich) and also some about their European history but not really much about the religion.

But I don't know much about any religion since I grew up without religion at all. Even though my parents raised me in the tradition of the Christian morality.

I react very sensitive when it comes to people who try to force their religion on me. Happens to me once. A Christian.
But I find it very interesting to learn more about other religions.

Story: I met this guy in the U.S. I was 23 or 24, he was early 30s. Then went back to Germany but continued to "date" him. At one point he wrote me a letter with a kinda marriage proposal. My wall went straight up. Then he came to visit me in Germany. He had a Bible with him and layed it on the coffee table. It was the longest week in my life. I was so glad when he was gone. So then he emails me, telling me I need to read chapters so and so and then go to a church, show them his letter, they sure would help me. With what I ask you? He was still a virgin and told me I would mix up love and sex :wtf: I still have that email in a print out. When I really wanna get pissed off I read it.

Who is that in the photo? I should probably read the thread. I try to read your threads before I reply and I will after I post. Sorry, I missed you yesterday. I had to work 8am-8pm yesterday. I was really wiped out when I got home yesterday. Today is my last day for the week. Tomorrow, I will put in some applications at some other Facilities in the area.

Yesterday our Place got 1st place out of the 41 facilities in our corporation. We do not know what they based it on. What criteria was used. All of our departments are topnotch except our Nursing staff sucks. Our therapy dept. is outstanding, as is our activities, dietary, housekeeping and maintenance. But, our Nursing Staff is pitiful...a veritable snake pitt. 2 more girls quit over the weekend, I found out yesterday.
