Here is a cool link that connects each character to other characters before the crash

http://abc.go.com/primetime/lost/index?pn=connection

Click on a face and you'll get a description of how each character met before they got on the plane.

1. Thanks for the link, Gray.
So, the cast knew of each other prior to the crash.
This plot gets more interesting as it moves along.

Sometimes though, I get the feeling that the writers
sit in their room, sucking down some bomber weed
and say " hey- you really want to mess with their minds?
listen to this---" and they write and produce it.

Don't get me wrong, I still love this show and I'm
hooked on it.

3. That is one hell of a project!( spoilers)
adding in the episodes recapping last week's show with the
explanations, that's a lot of writing.

Main questions now( among many)

Is Ben dead or isn't he?
Is Locke dead or isn't he?

From my last impression, Locke was alive, again
and Ben wasn't.

6. Yeah, I think they're bullshitting about having it all planned out.
The explanation of why Ben didn't remember Sayid shooting him during the early interrogation scene seems like CYA backtracking to me.

Old Smoky of the Temple can heal young Ben.....BUT, HE WON'T REMEMBER ANYTHING!

9. I remember them saying
that when this is all over, there is something in the first couple episodes that will "prove" it was all planned. Since hearing that, I have believed it is the Adam and Eve couple they found with the black and white stones. I have thought over the seasons that they will turn out to be Sawyer/Kate, Penny/Desmond, Sawyer/Juliet.

Both men are incredible actors. I don't know if they just really enjoy doing scenes together or if there's some sort of friendly rivalry going on, but they both seem to really step up their game when they're together. They both deserve awards for their performances on this show.

Hi,
Thanks for that link Gray. I'll have to spend some QT with it. I love the show, but once again am getting frustrated with a lot of these recent episodes. I guess I'm just impatient. I want *some* answers instead of more and more questions. Interesting to see comments from other fans about the episode tonight. I did enjoy the conversation between Ben and John about him killing him.

Peace

I really need to know more about this Jacob person/concept and I also need to know what happened to Claire. I was hoping this season would answer more questions, but most of the answers seem to be from questions presented at the beginning of this season or from the last episode of season 4.

Hi,
Oh good gosh, I can't even answer that, but it basically comes down to wth is going on??!!!

What was with those two characters they buried rather early, the brother and sister or not brother and sister? Wasn't there something with them moving after they were buried?

I just cannot keep track of who is where when. I guess I need to just relax and realize I will never grasp everything and enjoy it for what it is.

Peace

31. This episode was all about Locke's ownage of Ben.
Great moments when Ben looked like he was trying to weasel out of his face-to-face with Smokey, John would help him along...with a big "eat that, bitch" grin on his face.

In the end, maybe death would have been easier for Ben. He really looked totally defeated after he promised to follow Locke unquestioningly.

Scariest moment: when Ben first saw Alex (or whatever that was) underneath the temple. I just knew that she was going to turn into some kind of creature and would attack him and try to eat his face off.

Was it the smoke monster that grabbed the pilot right out of the cockpit in the first episode?

Why can't the smoke monster find people when they hide inside a group of trees?

55. I don't remember whether Locke was ever dragged...
I have great gaping holes in my memory with this show--there's so much to remember I can't keep it all in my cranium. I'll hazard a guess and say I don't THINK Locke was ever dragged but lots of other people were. (But someone else here might recall differently.)

All I remember about the pilot was that he was Greg Grunberg :D--I liked the guy from Felicity and I was hoping he'd actually be sticking around, but noooOOOoo...I should have quit the show right then and there--it would've helped my psyche immensely! j/k I can't imagine not having watched every ep of this show since the beginning--I totally love having my head squoze every week.

Good question about the trees--I don't know the answer to that either. What I want to know is why the smoke monster's movement is usually accompanied by the sound of a chain (except in the temple). What IS that? I originally thought that the smoke was just a distraction, "smoke and mirrors", to scare people and mask an actual mechanism that grabbed people and dragged them away, but that theory of mine has been blown to bits. :banghead:

In the episode, Ben talks John down from killing himself. They're about to leave together and then Locke mentions that he has to see Eloise... she'll tell him how to get back to the island. You can see that's the moment when Ben decides to kill him. Before that, Ben didn't know how to get back to the island.
