Tenet is "SHOCKED" to hear that Cheney has been citing false intelligence
On "Lou Dobbs Money Line" they reported that George Tenet was on captitol hill today defending the CIA's intelligence on Iraq. At one point in came out that Vice president (and all around moron) Dick Cheney had recently cited a intelligence report that Director Tenet testified was "innacurate". Tenet apparently had no Idea that Cheney was going around citing this report and was shocked to find out he was. This prompted Ted Kennedy to ask the Director if he needed to assign someone to the job of watching what Bush administration officials say in order to keep them from using faulty intelligence. It is truly sad that the Bush administration is so used to lying that the CIA actually is considering monitoring everything they say.

(I think Sen. Kennedy was being facetious, but it is still pretty funny!)

4. Of course Tenet knew this already. But he's a hell of a player in the game
Edited on Tue Mar-09-04 06:31 PM by Bucky
Tenet is basically acting like a player and doing everything he can to fuck the Bushies. His famous "mea culpa" on the Niger yellow cake incident showed him at the top of his game... pretending to fall on his sword, but wording his memo just the right way to show whose fault it really was. It was brilliant, and Rove was in such a hurry to put out the memo that he never realized Tenet was tossing the ball back over the net to them.

Tenet being "shocked" now is part of his plan to protect the CIA from blame on the Iraq mess. And he's doing it brilliantly.
