4. I was just posting that joke
then I saw you did and deleted it. I had not heard it before, but then again I don't get to talk about composers a whole lot, much less crack jokes about them.

:hi:

5. There aren't very many composer jokes.
The only other one I know:

When Beethoven passed away, he was buried in a churchyard.

A couple of days later, the town drunk was walking through the
cemetery and heard some strange noises coming from the area where
Beethoven was buried. Terrified, the drunk ran and got the priest
to come and listen to it. The priest bent close to the grave and
heard some faint, unrecognizable music coming from the grave.

The priest ran and got the town magistrate.

When the magistrate arrived, he bent his ear to the grave,
listened for a moment, and said, "Ah, yes, that's Beethoven's
Ninth Symphony, but it's being played backwards."

He listened a while longer, and said, "There's the Eighth
Symphony, and it's backwards, too. Most puzzling." So the
magistrate kept listening, "There's the Seventh... the Sixth...
the Fifth..."

Suddenly the magistrate realized what was happening. He stood up
and announced to the crowd that had gathered in the cemetery, "Folks,
there's nothing to worry about. It's just Beethoven decomposing."

7. Ha!
So here's the longest, most complicated composer joke ever, which is also a baseball joke:

9. Too funny!
If I post these at school I don't think my students will get them - it's a K-6. I might, though. Thanks!

8. I like Phillip Glass in short doses
I get the minimalism, I really do.

And his music can be beautiful at times.

But it can get very, very, very, very, very ,very, very, very....

repetitive. repetitive. repetitive. repetitive. repetitive. repetitive. repetitive. repetitive.

10. I think that's what I like
it is calming for me somehow.

I need to listen to more of his music now that we have access to all this technology. Internet searches, YouTube, and I'm sure I'll find things I wasn't expecting.
