1. Terrible.
And he just pitched a game several hours before. Just weird how someone can be here one minute and then gone the next.

3. What a shame.
Condolences to the loved ones of the deceased occupants of the Mitsubishi.

How hard can it be to stop for a red light, anyway?

7. Every article I've found on this is so poorly written.
I'm going to head down to the Sports Forum and see if they've found one written by someone with beyond first year journalism school experience.

9. OMG... I was at the game last night.
He pitched really well and deserved to win. Too bad the bullpen wasn't up to snuff.

11. That article says he was born in Silver Springs, MD. It's Spring

12. It seems the person that causes such nasty accidents always lives.
Ran the red light and fled the scene. What a shithead.

I am so sorry for those who died. So so sad.

14. Tragic, poor young man. Gives me flashbacks; we were in
an accident just like that - hit as someone ran a red light going at least 60mph. Luckily, the driver hit the front wheel area; one more foot back and she'd have probably killed my husband who was in the passenger seat. Seconds can make all the different. This driver just had her head up her ass; I think she was on the phone, and going at least 20mph over the speed limit.
