1. Half of the world: 1984
The other half: Mad Max.

I feel like the divide between first and third worlds is becoming more acute, not less.

2. I'm thinking it will either be a future of Eugenics or Artificial Intelligence
I'm betting on Artificial Intelligence because I think it would be easier to achieve.

With micro chips and surveilance cameras everywhere. Cops will be dressed up like storm troopers all the time. And we will be ruled by alien/lizard overlords.

I'm convinced that's what the world is going to be like in 50 or 60 years. Also see: Ghost in the Shell.

I don't think the future will be either Heaven or Hell.

19. This has all happened before, this will all happen again
Humans have a remarkable knack for never learning from our mistakes, therefore we are doomed to repeat them. Eventually the mistake will be big enough to prevent our recovery from it, and we'll start the cycle again.

28. Other: We are, in my opinion, destined/doomed to become the Borg.

Star Trek essentially gave the blueprint of how the Borg work - nanotechnology, consciousness linked by computers, half-man/half-machine hybrids... If hyou ask me, since the Borg already exist in popular culture, there may be a day when somebody is just crazy enough to work out a way to link us all neurally using nanotechnology... And then we shall become the scourge of the galaxy, assimilating other, weaker species at will, bringing them into our collective to become more mindless drones in the hive.

Hope you guys like cubes!
