Is anybody else fascinated with New Old Stock?
Someone just now pulled out of our supply closet a zip drive from the early 2000s. It's still in the wrapper. I can't take my eyes off of it. That thing was cutting technology ten years ago.

1. Depends on the category. Some of it is old stock for a reason.
Musical, motorcycle, and automotive new old stock gets my attention. electronic not so much.

2. Right.
Me being a musician, bike rider, and an owner of a 62 Falcon, I completely identify with your items of choice. I could definitely put to good use a mid 50s King 2B Supersonic trombone in perfect condition. But old technology makes me nostalgic. Especially hardware. I don't know why.

3. I agree.
The problem I have is a tendency to be a packrat, so I've got to be careful when I see some shiny old piece of hardware that I "could" find a use for some day.

4. Been that way all my life, don't expect to change now - In fact,
I recently returned to selling some of my aquisitions on eBay - made a few hundred $ so far.
My retirement business!
NOS electronics tend to become usless junk very quickly.

6. I was there for a while, at least lurking. Forgot it was there.
We had a previous eBay business several years ago, did pretty well for parttimers. I just started again a few weeks ago, and I'm not very happy with all the new regulations they seem to have enacted.
I will visit the ebay forum here again.

Thanks.

8. I still have one, in working condition (the 100mb version)
I think I still have some of the disks around, too, somewhere. That was the only way to move around graphic files a decade ago.
