1. I've always thought so.
Seriously, it's exactly the same.

2. I don't know about intentionally . . .
. . . but you can construe lots of bits of certain songs as blatant steals from one another.

For instance, "On the Dark Side" by John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Band

. . . and R.O.C.K. in the U.S.A. by John MellenCougarCamp . . .

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MzYkjvq-iLE

. . . pretty much have the same exact chord progressions as Neil Diamond's "Cherry Cherry" . . .

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vvXCYqd8AAs

. . . which has also (as the video points out) was the inspiration for "What I like about You" by The Romantics . . .

Then there's that whole Coldplay/Satriani mess going on . .. Huey Lewis's "I want a New Drug" vs Ray Parker's "Ghostbusters" . . . Metallica's main riff to "Enter Sandman" being an almost carbon copy of the Finnish group Stone's "Get Stoned" . . . the infamous George Harrison/Shirelles "He's So Fine" vs "My Sweet Lord". If we get into how many riffs Led Zeppelin lifted from old blues artists, we'll be here all day.

7. It's funny you should bring up those four songs...
Whenever my band plays "What I Like About You", one of the other three inevitably find their way into the song (usually in the section that's whispered right before the end on the original recording).

3. it's "oy yo yo" vs "tra la la"
I doubt that Bob watched a lot of kids television from the states. Similar, yes, but I doubt it was a ripoff
