2. We must make sure the candy is safe for the kids.
Also it is hard work filling up the little plastic eggs for the hunt.

21. My little Jewish wife never had Easter candy till I introduced her to
home made coconut and peanut butter eggs several years ago. Now she goes through several bags of Robins Eggs every year, and buys a supply after Easter when they go on sale.

I like the simple old style jelly beans, myself...

14. I generally do that on Halloween.
But this year I've been really good for Easter. Could be because I'm still full of birthday cake from dd's birthday yesterday. ;) IT sure came in handy with the sweets cravings.

6. A very nice older lady came into my workplace on Wednsday....
She introduced herself (I'm fairly new there)
and handed me a BIG basket of candy.

She explained that she was in a bit of a rush that day,
and didn't have time to talk, but had been a regular customer
for 10 years and always made a special basket of Easter chocolates
for the employees at "her favorite Thrift Store".
She asked me to give everyone her best wishes, and then she was gone.

So I and everyone else at my job have been eating Easter candy
for 3 straight days now.

I keep thinking I'm SICK of chocolate...but then I think
that MAYBE I could manage to endure just ONE more tiny
peanut-butter egg, Knowhutimean?

13. It really was.
Everyone else was sorry they missed her- apparently,
she's not been in good health, and hasn't coming around
much for the last year or two.

But they all had stories to tell me of their oldest "best customer"
the Chocolate Lady.

8. I don't even have any. I'll get some tomorrow.
I'm not really big on that type of candy, but I'll have a Reese's peanut butter egg and a couple of malted milk balls.

My candy (aka "the good stuff" like Belgian truffles) is always kept hidden. :D

10. Easter is the end of the candy holidays for awhile.
It is a long time until October.

I like the 50 percent off candy.

11. I'm actually happy about that.
My kids have a constant supply of candy from Halloween through Easter. It gets to be a little much at times. :)

12. The candy doesn't last long.
I always think I am buying to much but it all gets eaten anyway.

I have to hide my candy.

22. I bought two bags of Dove chocolate eggs
Because I KNOW I'm going to have to--ahem--inspect them as I make up the Easter basket. I've held off so far, only because I'm hiding the chocolate behind the door at the top of the basement stairs, not within easy reach. But once I trot out MG Jr.'s Easter basket and start filling it, all bets are off. :9
