Somebody gave me a laser pointer for the kitties.

One of those laser pointer toys for cats. I think it's cruel. It could also possibly hurt the kitty if it's aimed at their eyeball.

1. I saw a guy in WalMart using a laser pointer with a toddler

He was aiming it at the floor and the kid was going nuts chasing it around. It was really funny.

2. We got one for our cats after my daughter & SIL showed us

how much fun their cats had. We brought it home and our cats gave it a pass. I could almost read their minds "Been there, done that. Got anything better?"

The older one thought it was odd at first but then quickly loss interest. I don't know, it just felt kind of cruel to have the one kitty chasing after it. The fake mouse on the string is one thing, I mean she get's to actually chase that and bite into it and everything.

It actually does make them neurotic. I didn't realize it until I looked it up.
