Weekly MLB thread. Post here with your team's W-L record.
After a disastrous start with the Braves, it seems that my Phils are attempting to get back to business. They are 159-3. They are now facing a series with TZ's Gnats - starting this afternoon.

How is your team faring?

7. TZ.....
you know the history that the Phils have with the Nats. For whatever reason, it seems that the Nats (at least in prior seasons) has the Phils' number. You just may see your first win today.

Not that I'm wishing for that to happen or anything..... :hi:

2. Ugh.
After destroying the White Sux on Friday, we rolled over twice on the weekend and now face the hot Blue Jays.

But 158-4 isn't too shabby;-) :hi:

3. I'm stunned that my Mariners are 5-2 and lead the AL West.
Shocked. Astounded. Pleased beyond belief that I get to enjoy
baseball for more than Opening Day.

I love this new manager who has them playing manufactur-a-run small
ball instead of Earl Weaver baseball.

Kewl.

9. Let's see....
Baltimore Orioles are 4-2. Not too bad at all.

Florida Marlins are 5-1. That's pretty awesome.

Tampa Bay Rays are only 3-3, but that's just because they had to play the Orioles. They'll bounce back against the Yankees.

;)

Hey - the Orioles will be in Philly on TZs birthday. We're thinking of attending at least one of those games. Could make for some interesting threads, here in teh Lounge. :hide:

29. I'm ok with that right now,
split against the Cards the first series. Beat by a real good pitching performance yeterday.

Now if John Russell would only understand that a)Adam Larouche should not be seen anywhere near a major league park until the middle of May at the earliest, b) his younger brother stinks and c)Ian Snell needs a good talking to, then things would be just fine.

So what if they are Single-A. It only costs 20 to go, grab a sausage, and a beer or two.

another extremely mediocre season and, of course, miss the playoffs. Again.

32. We did 30% of the time.
Granted, if we had throwaway games ie batting practice against the likes of Washington, Houston or Cleveland (I know, I'm picking on interleague play teams) we'd be looking a lot better. For example, watch the Phils climb out of their horrible start this week.

I'm concerned about the starting pitching, but at this point in time, their record is fine.
