Mmmmm....Leftover Ruth's Chris
I was pondering my lunch when I opened the fridge and found the forgotten leftovers from Saturday night. Oh sweet mercy.

The bad part is I have a dog who now seems to believe that she is entitled to share the entire steak with me. I mean, one bit of a $45 filet is pretty good for, well, a dog whose 2-month supply of dog food costs $35.

Of course, we discovered that our cat will only sleep on the bed when we use the really high thread count sheets. Apparently, the second tier sheets are not up to his standards.

My animals are goddamn snobs.

1. Boooooooooooooooo! That whirring sound you hear is Ruth Fertel spinning in her grave
Ruth, a bedrock New Orleanian, bought Chris Steak House on N. Broad St. years ago and called it "Ruth's Chris Steak House". Now you know.

Alas, it became an outpost of corporate America years ago. This is where things get ugly. Their corporate masters announced they would be moving their HQ from Metairie (just outside NOLA) to Orlando, Fla.

So what, you ask? They did this two freakin' days after Katrina. :grr: :banghead:

Perhaps the dog would like leftover Morton's in the future?

3. I don't like Morton's as much
I was wondering how many posts it would take for the first lecture. It took precisely one.

4. It's really sort of insane
My dog was a pound rescue. She was a mess when we got her.

Now, she thinks she is entitled to sleep on a pillow-top mattress and not one of the TWO nice dog beds she has.

And it's not just to be near us. We find her napping in the bedroom on the bed all the time by herself.
