That was almost major!
I was sitting on my patio outside and walked in for a second. Well, out of nowhere, it started pouring while I was in. I ran my computer back inside. I hope there is no permanent damage. :o

1. That reminds me of an Arlo and Janis cartoon from some time ago
They are in the house and there's a major thunderstorm going on. Arlo comments on how wonderful laptops and wireless networks are - no more running around to unplug everything when there's a thunderstorm. Then you see the house from the outside and there's a laptop open on the patio table.

The keyboard should be fine - they can usually take a full cup of coffee and survive. Sticky stuff like soda is what kills keyboards now. The speakers and mousepad might be sources of trouble. Let it dry out well before you try using it again! A hair dryer on low from a distance might help - or a small area fan blowing over the keyboard.
