And I did relly like Harry Kalas. I'll admit that Bob Prince was and will balways be my all time favorite because he was the one who introduced me to the Pirates as a kid, but Harry deserved all the props he's not only getting now, but has gotten all his career.

87. I married a DUer, but I didn't really crush on him secretly for any length of time.

Before we actually talked and met, I felt very neutral about my (now) husband for a couple of years. Nice guy I thought, but there was no heavy spark when we only knew each other in the online realm. I will admit to seeing some of the things he used to write (when we both used to post in the lounge more) and think, "Wow, this guy thinks like me." though that was the extent of it. Liking someone online vs. an ability to actually sustain a relationship with them are two very different things. Some people have a very dynamic online personality, but aren't quite capable in terms of the ability to connect in the real world (at least not with the person they crush on). Others have online personalities that reflect little more than a small subset of their opinions and less of who they really are at all.

We have grown more together than I ever thought possible. And don't get me wrong, anyone who was around DU in 2005, so we were two lovesick puppies, but none of that stemmed from DU or a DU crush. It stemmed from the transition into a real world relationship and the joy and honesty we brought to each other's lives.
