HD radio question
I have the Sony HD table radio with iPod dock. I like it a lot more than Jensen's HD table radio with iPod dock, which had everything wrong from the controls to the reception to the iPod not charging. Are there contenders that are better than the Sony? It has to be an HD table radio like what I have:

Teac has a similar radio that I'm wondering about. It's a good brand.

1. I'm not sure if it's HD
but I use the iHome radio. I use it mostly as an alarm clock but I also use it to listen to and charge my iPod.

2. Hi, blue_onyx
I had one of those. It's a nice basic system, but I'm not sure they do HD. ILuv does, but I don't think I'd take a chance on that. :hi:

3. Hi. Yeah, my iHome is basic
I rarely listen to music with a radio/stereo. I usually listen on my computer or use my iPod so a basic system works for me.

5. The link says, among other things:
"HD radio also provides text-based information--artist name, song title, etc., which are scrolled across the receiver display."

As far as I can tell, the text is the only thing really new about HD radio.

HD radio doesn't really make AM sound like FM, despite the hype. The "HD" does not stand for "high definition" or anything else. It was chosen to imitate HDTV, to make you think you would get better fidelity (which you don't).

6. It actually does come in clearer when it goes to HD

on AM at least. No static. The problem is pulling in the stations enough. And it can switch between HD and analog and cause pauses in the signal. You can also get a few more channels from the same stations. I'm a radio junkie, so I'm glad I got the HD.

The question, is, though, would I like a particular HD radio the most.
