Good morning Lounge
How are you today?

I was at the doc's office this morning. I have tendonitis on my left foot. Oh joy. That will take some time to heal x( I will also get orthotic inserts, made for just my feet. I had to do a 3D print of me feet. Didn't know they do it that way these days.
Of course my co-worker is on vacation these week and there are a bunch of book requests on my desk. Means I have to hobble to the stack to get them. And walking hurts at the moment.
OK, enough of the complaining.

;)

There was a Bartok piece on yesterday, and something from Mozart. And a harp concerto, I forget who the composer is.

I'm not very well versed in Classical music as far as knowing much of it by heart, which has it's benefits. Most of it is music I'm hearing for the first time. :D

I barely can recognize composers myself. Mozart yes, I hear if it is by him. But otherwise ...

My favorite piece is "My Vlast" by Smetana. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LlLPLO90fSk and the opera "Carmen" by Georges Bizet.

34. Same here with Mozart
His sound has a signature to it.

I think Ode to Joy by Beethoven has to be if not my favorite, one of several that occupy a top five.

The Four Seasons by Vivaldi, basically anything that has soaring strings in it.

In a steady rain, it's perfect. :)

Sorry to hear about your foot, but glad to hear that you are on the road to recovery. The orthotics will help a lot, you will be pleasantly surprised.

I finally went to the doc about my knee and found out I have osteoarthritis. I'm far too young for that, but oh well. Thank gawd though I don't need surgery. I'm getting a series of five shots in my knee, and had the first one yesterday. Some lube stuff called suparatz. My knee if feeling better already.

Nice to see your pic again. The last time I saw it I didn't notice all those beer bottles on the floor! You must have been celebrating your new haircut.

Sorry to hear about your knee. Good thing that you finally went to see the doc. And glad that the shots will help.

Those beer bottles were left overs from the move and renovating. My mom's bf had a bottle each evening after a long day of working. I prefer wine over beer :D

They should go lovely with your work suits. ;) But sneakers should help your foot until your get your orthotics. Do anything to make yourself feel better. Too bad you're short staffed and have to do all that running around yourself.

You get to wear jeans to work? How lucky. I wore jeans one day in winter. Big snow storm going on so I thought it would be okay. Got called on it and was reminded of the dress code. Mine you, NO ONE and I mean NO ONE would have come into the offices that day, the weather was far too nasty for traveling. *sigh*

 I was just teasing you about the beer bottles. I know that you prefer wine!

Wow! They will let you leave work for your co-worker? Sheesh . . . and that's great!

Maybe someone can help you transport the books. You should limit your walking as much as you can and I'm sure the other departments will be understanding.

Gotta head out for work so wishing you a great day.

Can't. But he has been wandering in later than the others lately. He must have found a new girlfriend or something. But I usually find him just outside the bedroom and then he won't come in that door. He did once and then realized his mistake and got all ruffled up and crouched down low. Once I opened the door to the hallway, he dashed out the door. He seems to not recognize the bedroom during the day, but he's all full of purrs at night.

I'm good today. My cat got it into his head that he should start meowing at me to get up at 5:00am, so I'm ready to find him a new home (:D), but otherwise, things are good.

Ohhh .... I remember that. My late cat would do that too and demand food. If you tried to ignore her she would start throwing stuff down. At one point we found out that she demanded food from me at 5am and then two hours later when my mom got up she demanded food from her too ... sneaky kitty

He is a guy who was a guard in an extermination camp and is supposed to be handed over to Germany for a trial. He and his family fight the deportation with hands and feet.

Here is the Wikipedia entry about him

it's a little silly. The issue isn't with Israel, it's between the guy, the US government, and the German government.

And that trial in Israel was 30 years ago - new evidence could have easily come to light.

and they should remember that Israelis, because of their past, tend to be rather conservative when picking government leaders (even when it isn't the smart choice.

The problem is pretty common - the inability to distinguish between Israelis, the Israeli government, and Jews.

110. Lots of researching online
I do a LOT of reading about old past drinks. Pulque is an old mesoamerican drink, more like wine. Agave nectar is the basis of tequila.

My health food store had large 5 Kg jugs of agave nectar, so I look online to see if was made into wine, and it was.
