1. Gee I wonder who won that year..
Surely someone will fill me in..oh wait...I think..I'm having a vision..some team that hasn't had a winning season in almost 20 years based in a Keystone state......

7. .

Would you believe I became a fan of the Orioles in my later years? Even took in a game at Camden Yards. No one tops the Buccos, though.

8. I've been to more O's games than Pirates games, though I am only 15 minutes
from Camden Yards.

9. PNC Park and Camden Yards are two beautiful parks.
I'd love to get back to Baltimore some day and see a few more games.

10. I saw the Pirates back in the 70's when they were in Three Rivers Stadium.
What a bland, sterile environment.

11. The Toilet Bowl?
Yeah, it was awful. Absolutely the worst place for baseball. Perfect for the Steelers of the 70's, though.

My eyes were as big as saucers then.

in 77 and 78.

15. I grew up in the 'burgh,
but in 1979 was living in Baltimore. I had an apartment on St. Paul Street, and most of the traffic southbound from the ballpark went down that street. As the season wore on, and the Orioles continued to win, there was quite a bit of horn honking from the fans. There was even more when the O's went up 3 games to 1 in the series, but it got awful quiet after that.

17. There's also no such thing as a .500-or-better season for that team from 1993 to present.

20. No, I bailed on the team when they left Montreal.
I was an Expos fan from their first day until their last because I lived in Quebec when the team was formed. I couldn't follow them once they left.

23. 1979? That's pretty recent.
It sure must be easy to root for a team that wins so often.
