Just got this email from my Dept. Chair:

Dear Heather,

I am delighted to inform you that the Economics Department has decided to award you a Distinction in Economics for your excellent work in the major. You will receive a small prize in connection with this at the Department’s Honors Dinner to be held on May 1. (The invitations have not yet been mailed, but they will go out soon.) In addition, your name will appear in the Convocation and Commencement booklets as having won a departmental distinction.
