15. I think the Lounge is for people who have outgrown GD.

At some point we get tired of arguing with other liberals about nuances we can't change anyway, so we come here to enjoy intelligent (and at times not so intelligent) conversation with people whose politics and world outlook we will mostly agree with. If we still want the blood of battle, we call someone's favorite band bad names.

I guess it's like growing up, when you suddenly realize that your friends don't have to be perfect because you aren't either.
