I dreamed last night I went to the town I grew up in.

I was at the house across the street from where I grew up, and I think Mama was too. (She died some years ago.) I looked across the street and saw a car under the carport there, and said, “Oh, somebody’s over there.”

Then I was across the street (on Mama’s house’s side of the street), and I saw abandoned buildings on that side of the street, which aren’t there in RL. I saw abandoned brick buildings and houses too. They had green moss growing on them here and there.

I looked over at the church across the street, and saw it was abandoned too. The roof may have been gone. There was black fungus growing on its white walls. I said, “Who am I, Rip Van Winkle?” :shrug: :rofl: (Remember, he aged while he slept!)

2. Gotten even quieter, if that is possible. Yes, I did go recently.

It gives me the feeling of being in a ghost town or among old ruins. Usually I don't see anyone there, I mean, just passing by. I guess most of them are working or inside.
