2. Actually, that IS asparagus after harvest and left to go to seed.

You get your last picking off the bed and then you let it grow up and winter over. Otherwise you run the risk of killing off the entire bed which you do NOT want to do because you do not harvest off a bed for at least year after it is planted.

Sorry. But I figured a bit of info was ok.
