Rip Van Turtle: My Red Ear Slider Turtle that Disappeared over 1 yr Ago Re-Emerges
Srsly :wtf:

I have posted before about my rescue turtles. I originally had three turtle. But shortly after we got them the smallest went missing (Winter, 2007). I learned about hibernation and so I waited until last Spring (2008). Last Spring I decided the turtle had died while hibernating.

Guess what? The turtle turns-up today the same size and very very hungry. The critter overslept by a year!

Got a picture of him (her?). How can you be sure it is the same one? Is it tagged or something?

8. I believe that JMach lives in the United Arab Emirates, and
Red Ear Sliders are native to the Southern United States, so the odds of another Red Ear Slider wandering into his yard/house over there are pretty much zero.

Amazing story! :)
