tonight is PROM night for my "baby" here she is on the day we bought the dress. Date pics later

Here she is as a baby...I miss that baby, but I love the beautiful woman she has become

1. and they are off. Her date bought her a beautiful wrist corsage with blue the same color

as her dress,

he even opened the car door for her and helped her tuck her dress into it!

8. She's lovely, and she's lucky to have a parent as caring as you to look after her.

Your post makes me think about my niece and how quickly she is growing up.

It's hard to raise a child, and "send them off," so to speak.

It looks like you are doing a tremendous job. What a beautiful child you have, and your pride in her is contageous and inspiring.

Isn't it early for Prom? We didn't have prom until the end of May.

12. we have 12 high schools

they have to staggar proms all through April first of May

I knew better than to wear mascara to graduation. Is your darling a senior too?

And it's wonderful to see them grow and your relationship change.
We now "do lunch" and meet for shopping trips.
I will simply drop everything to take a phone call from her.

And I always try to let her know I am there for her always - because I am.

she did her Jr/Sr year all at once and is graduating a full year early

13. I have the best kid...instead of going to parties after prom, they called and asked if they could

come home, grill burgers and get in the hot tub
