I told my students on Friday that I probably would not be at my building next year

the majority of them were really upset and some cried for a couple of hours. I maybe should have waited to tell them.

I did NOT tell them why, just that I was probably going to be at a different building.

I maybe should have not told them, but I believe in total honesty with my students and I feel that is why I have the LEAST discipline problems and the most RESPECT between myself and my students.

some of them said they were going to ask their parents to let them go to the school I would be at next year...I told them that it could end up being a grade they would not be in as I am certified 5-12 and I am teaching 7th grade this year.


It did make me feel better that they respect me so much
