5. Edwardo's or Giordano's.
Still remember when the first Edwardo's opened on Howard Street back in '79 or so.

YUMMMMMMM!!

10. Edwardo's hands down.
Edited on Mon Apr-20-09 11:33 AM by Wapsie B
I love their spinach pizza! Ate at the one on South Dearborn (Printer's Row) this past winter, but I first went to the one on Howard. If there is pizza to die for this is it. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!

23. No more Edwardo's where I live.
They all closed.

Closest one is in La Crosse, Wisconsin, I think.

But man, that's good pizza.

8. Most deep dish is really bad - a huge gut bomb.
Pequod's is ok I guess. Geno's should be burned to the ground (that fire will burn about eight days).

I went to Freddy's in (16th and 61st) Cicero on Saturday and I guess that is deep-dishy. Very good - I just love that place.

the New York, thin kind. Unlike that too thick and nasty Chi-town crap!

13. Don't remember the name of the place we went...
but the tables were crammed so close together it was hard to imagine how the waitstaff dealt with it.

I love deep dish pizza.

16. We prefer Due's to Uno's
I know they're supposed to be the same, but somehow Due's seems better.

But since we moved to the far northern boonies, we now settle for Lou Malnati's.

19. Strangely, I agree with you
My favorite is Lou Malnati's

I haven't been to Home Run Inn or Gino's -- that is on my to-do list for the next Chicago trip

I've been to the Giordano's in downtown, as well as their two locations near Disney World. I enjoy the pizza; however, 2 of the 3 times I was there, I had awful service

I've been to Uno and Due -- you're right -- something about Due is better, but I've never been able to put my finger on just what it is. The deep- dish is great, though

24. Pizza should be thin. This is just wrong.
It's more like a casserole than a pizza.

25. That is cause for debate within my household.
Hubby swears it is Gino's East hands down, and I am a fan of Uno's. We have to hit both and then debate the subject for another few months.

Then we go back to Chicago and do it all over again because you just never know...
