Do you have anything autographed?

I had front row to the last set of Oingo Boingo concerts in San Diego. Knowing this would be the last time I'd have a chance to get some of my collectibles autographed, I brought down 6 or 7 of my more rare LPs and singles. I worked my way backstage and had Danny sign all my records. This one in particular he was impressed with because he had never seen it before. Score!

not as exciting as it sounds--I never got paid, and actually had such a nightmarishly off- night, that I probably didn't deserve to get paid. Other musicians--Marshall Crenshaw, Junior Wells, Willie Dixon and all of his band ( opened for them), Jan Berry... let's see, um... all of the Persuasions, Delbert McClinton, Stanley Jordan, John Sebastian( all opening act gigs also) ...baseball players including Sandy Koufax, Curt Flood,Joe Cunningham, just to name a few....and a couple of (shudder) republicans: Pete Domenici, and H.R. Haldeman...Most of the musician ones are on albums, or flyers for the shows.

2. Another belt signed by 2 different PRCA steer wrestlers that I met when I used to work at the rodeo when I was in high school. I can't remember their names but they sure were good looking cowboys. LOL
3. Jenna Von Oy (actress from blossom) signed pic from when my Mom met her backstage at Jay Leno's show in the 90's.
4. My Mom has an Andy Warhol signed tomato soup can.
5. A few John Alexander signed prints and original paintings. He is a artist who moved to NYC in the 80's and is originally from Texas. He was one of my Mom's fine art professors in Houston in the 70's and a friend of the family.

That's pretty much all I can think of other than some books around the house.

73. I have two baseball cards autographed - Dante Bichette and Ellis Burks.
Interestingly enough, both were cards of them before they played for the Rockies back in the 90's. My Burks card was from his time with the Red Sox, and my Bichette card was from when he played for Milwaukee.

Probably not worth a whole lot, but back when I was young they were a HUGE deal to me.

80. I have an uncommissioned James O'Barr painting
Lyric got it for me for Christmas a few years ago, knowing as she does how much of an O'Barr/Crow freak i am.
It's 10"x13", and the photo does not do the colors justice.

82. I have a hardbound "A Rose For Ecclesiastes" signed by Roger Zelazny.
It was a gift from my brother. I have no idea how he got it. It's not a first edition novel- this book is in a graphic novel format.

It's currently in a box, in storage. I'll have to dig it out.

93. As a kid I had an obsession with horses
so one day I wrote Roy Rogers and Trigger and asked for their autografs. They and Dale Evans Rogers sent them and I still have 'em stuck in a drawer somewhere.

It was traumatizing when I discovered that he stuffed his horse when he died, too. I should have sued for pain and suffering. :P

94. a 1977 Cincinnati Reds baseball
Won a contest and got to go into the locker room and meet the team before the game. I missed a couple of signatures, most notably Tom Seaver (he was off that day), but Rose, Bench, etc are all on there. Pedro Borbon menaced me with a razor wanting to cut my (admittedly overgrown) hair.

Have some albums and CDs signed by various bands/musicians, including Lou Reed, The Pixies, Elvis Costello, Marshall Crenshaw, Matthew Sweet, etc.

Also have some signatures I sent away for when I was a little kid. Got that book of celebrity addresses they used to publish, and wrote to a few, and some were nice enough to send something back. Alfred Hitchcock was one, Joe Dimaggio, and a few other baseball players. Also, got a number of cartoonists to send me sketches and art, including Al Jaffee (MAD), and Arnold Roth.

Think I have a signed Michael Moore book someplace as well from a bookstore appearance.
